Welcome to The New California Standards, The Elements of Mastery Learning and 21st Century Learning training. This PDF contains the teaching journal and teacher professional development pages for:
Module 1: Overview and Reflective Teaching
Module 2: Require active participation
This is a two-year training program with the first year focusing on modules related to The Elements of Mastery Learning. The second year will focus on the New California Standards as they relate to The Elements of Mastery Learning as well as 21st Century Learning.
Again:
• Year One: The Elements of Mastery Learning
• Year Two: The New California Standards and 21st Century Learning
You will be responsible for attending one training and one individual learning session each month. Additionally, you will be expected to journal weekly about your progress as we work through each Module.
All trainings and PowerPoints will be recorded and available online the day after each training session for reference.. Links will be given at monthly training sessions.

• Module 4: Use the correct level of difficulty
• Module 5: Always monitor and adjust instruction
• Module 6: Know it is your job to motivate students
• Module 7: Differentiate to ensure optimum retention
• Module 8: Apply learning to real life
• Module 9: Wait time
